Those of you who know my hubby know he LOVES to put puzzles together. I'm talking the up all night have to finish it before dawn type. He used to get a new one every Christmas Eve and be up all night so it was complete by Christmas morning.
Well...as we age *ahem*, staying up all night is not so easy. BUT, I will say that this puzzle gave my man a run for his money. Truth be told, my mom bought him this puzzle YEARS ago. Check out the date on this thing!
He started it once, when he got it, discovered it was going to take a while and put it away for another day. Well, after years of bugging him, my mom finally got her wish. To see it completed! Yay~ I lost count of how many days (and some nights) it took him finish it. And if you've never done a 3D puzzle, let me just say, they are kinda a pain in the butt. I can proudly say I put together a whopping seven pieces myself. Wow huh? The pieces do not want to stay together once you start manipulating them into the model. You need extra hands!
So, here is his prized Millennium Falcon displayed as best it can be. Which he promptly took apart a minute after I took the completed pictures. I was all for gluing the thing together so as not to ever have to mess with it again. But sadly no! :(
It's safe to say this will NOT be a puzzle he will be pulling out to challenge himself with again. But it was a learning experience to say the least.
